An AI-runprop fund.On Ethereum.
Vortex is a prop fund with no one running it. An AI model reads how you trade and decides how much capital you get. Smart contracts hold the money and enforce the rules, so the model can size you up or down but never touch the vault. Pass an evaluation, trade real USDC, keep 80% of what you make.
The AI.
The model watches every account and decides how much capital each funded trader gets. That is its only job. It holds no keys to the vault. It signs a message with a size, and the allocator contract throws out anything outside fixed limits. Every decision is posted onchain with the model version and the data it was based on.
Each line is one trader's equity. The model reads the shape of the curve, not the size of the win.
Reads every trade, mark and breach from every account and rebuilds each trader's equity curve.
Looks at how steady your returns are, how far trades go against you, how consistent your sizing is and what you do after a loss.
Signs an allocation between half and one and a half times your tier. A better score means a bigger account.
Re-scores funded traders every 7 days. It can raise an account by up to 25% a week, and it can never cut you below what you currently hold.
What the AI can't do
- Give anyone more than 1.5× their tier, or over $10,000
- Put more than 2% of the vault in one account
- Hand out more than 25% of the vault in a day
- Raise an account more than 25% a week
- Pass, fail or pay anyone. The contracts do that.
- Change any of these limits
Four rules.
The same four rules apply to every account, and they live in the risk contract, not the model. Equity is checked against Chainlink prices, cross-checked with the pool's 30-minute average. If the price looks stale or off, nothing happens until it is fixed. Nobody can change these numbers, the AI included.
Profit target
+8%Reach 8% profit, trading on at least 5 different days, and you pass. Passing is automatic. The AI only decides how big your funded account is.
Daily loss
4%Lose 4% from where you started the day (00:00 UTC) and the account is closed. Anyone can trigger the close and get a small fee for it.
Hard floor
8%Drop below 92% of your starting balance and you are out. The floor doesn't move up with profits, so you always know exactly how much room you have.
Payout split
80/20Close your positions and claim whenever you're up. You get 80% of the profit in USDC, the vault keeps 20%, and the account goes back to its starting size.
How it works.
Three stages. Everything that happens to your account is recorded onchain, and that record is all the AI ever sees.
Prove it
Pay a small fee and trade a virtual account on live prices. Every fill is priced slightly worse than the market, so results are honest. No time limit.

- Min. trading days5
- Max exposure3× your balance
Trade real money
Once you pass, the AI sizes your account and the vault sends USDC into a wallet made just for you. You can trade it on approved Uniswap pools. You can't withdraw it.
- Account size0.5 to 1.5× your tier
- Max slippage1% per swap
Get paid
Up and flat? Claim your 80% and your evaluation fee comes back on the first claim. Break a rule and positions are sold, the USDC goes back to the vault.

Evaluation tiers.
Same rules on every tier. The size you pick sets your targets and the base for your funded account. Half of every fee goes to the vault, half buys back and burns $VRTX.
Vortex Vault.
The vault is the money traders use. Deposit USDC and you earn from 20% of every trader's profit plus half of all evaluation fees. Risk is capped twice: no account can lose more than 8%, and no account gets more than 2% of the vault. Withdrawals take 7 days.
Estimate assumes a $250,000 vault, 120 funded traders at $1,500 each, winners making 3% a month, 6% of the rest breaching each month and 250 evaluations a month at $9. Real returns depend on how traders do.
$VRTX
Fixed supply. Nobody can mint more and nobody owns the contract. It does three things.
Fee discount
Hold 25,000 $VRTX or more and evaluations paid in USDC cost 25% less.
Buyback and burn
Half of every evaluation fee buys $VRTX on the open market and burns it. More traders, less supply.
A say over the AI
Lock $VRTX to vote on which model version runs the fund and which markets get listed. Every change waits 48 hours before it goes live.
Questions.
The short answers. Anything else, ask on X.
What exactly does the AI control?
Account size, and nothing else. It picks how much a passed trader gets, within fixed limits. Passing, breaches, payouts and the 80/20 split are all handled by the contracts.
What if the AI goes wrong?
The limits hold. The worst it can do is give maximum size to traders who already passed, at most 2% of the vault each and 25% a day, and each of those accounts can still only lose 8%. Holders can vote in a new model.
What if a price feed is wrong?
Prices come from Chainlink and have to be under an hour old and within 1.5% of the pool's 30-minute average. If either check fails, no breach or payout happens until prices are good again.
Who closes accounts that break a rule?
Anyone can. Whoever does it gets 0.5% of what is recovered, up to $5. The positions are sold with at most 1% slippage.
Why is evaluation virtual?
So the vault takes no risk while you prove yourself. Virtual fills are priced a little worse than the real pools, so nobody passes on luck with execution.
Is there an admin key?
No. The core contracts can't be changed. Only the model version and the market list can, and only by a $VRTX vote with a 48-hour wait.
Is KYC required?
No. Your account belongs to the wallet that paid for the evaluation.
